Crisis of cattle feed is occurred very often in many of the places of the country due to seasonal fluctuation of feed and fodder, natural hazards & calamities, shortage of grazing land etc. Feed resources mainly depend on crop residues and cereal by-products, as well as grasses, tree leaves and aquatic plants. To face the crisis situation and make available cattle feed around the year, green grass and wet straw preservation through preparing silage were established during this year. A total of 195 demonstrations were established in different upazilas of the project. A total of 322 farmers adopted this technology of which 214 are CIG farmers and 108 are non-CIG members.
